Postdoctoral Fellows
The Rajan Lab is soliciting applications for postdoctoral fellows (two years of support, renewable) in computational neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Fellows are expected to pursue somewhat independent trans-disciplinary lines of inquiry and develop, present, and publish, data-driven computational models and theories about fundamental mechanisms of brain function in adaptive or maladaptive settings. Fellows will have access to a group of mentors of their choosing; interact with Dr. Rajan and colleagues in the Rajan lab; and collaborate with experimental labs and/or clinical groups both within and outside Sinai. Housing support in the upper east side of NYC, a lifestyle allowance, and professional development guidance will be provided.
Required: A doctoral degree in physics, mathematics, engineering or computational neuroscience; strong quantitative skills and ability to program; interest in working collaboratively in diverse and highly interactive settings; relocation to New York; and a commitment to open, positive, and inclusive science.
